- Head of Section Herbst (BMus Stellenbosch, MMus UKZN, KA Stuttgart HfM) was appointed to the Music Department of Stellenbosch University in 1994. Lecturing broadly, he established a Music Technology programme and directed the KEMUS-ensemble. In 2013 Herbst was appointed to the South African College of Music at UCT. His brief is to expand the existing Music Technology infrastructure, courses and research activities. He composes, and researches musical teleology and acculturation.

- Part-time Lecturer Between 2001 and 2009, Meryl (BMus, MMUs UCT) managed the SoundHouse, an outreach project housed in the Baxter Theatre Complex. Its transformation into a non-profit NGO, saw her become its Creative Director. In 2013 Meryl accepted a position as Music Technology Laboratory Officer at UCT's SACM. Over the past two decades Meryl has worked on a variety of creative projects. She remains an active composer, pianist and ‘technologist’, eager to experiment.
